Funding Concerns

The federal government awards up to billions of dollars in grants to projects and programs for the benefit of the public––particularily to different levels of state and local government, universities, charities, as well as  for-profit businesses. A unique concern regarding funding is the inappropriate allocation of such funds. Although we encountered limited literature specific to the misuse of funds in historical preservation projects, grant fraud opportunities often present themselves and raise a unique concern for project managers within any given field.
